The 2008 UK edition saw NCC Group score high marks for Career Development and Training & Innovation with Company Culture & Style and Employee Relations also scoring well.

“We are committed to employing the best people in the market and are extremely proud to have been named one of the Top IT Employers in the UK. Our people are our greatest asset so it is important that we continue to take career development and employee relations seriously and improve year on year.

The Top IT Employers United Kingdom Award combines the exceptional expertise of CRF's global research and writing experts supported by a panel of independent expert advisers. Using a professionally developed and annually updated questionnaire as the starting point, all companies were assessed, analysed and benchmarked by the independent panel against the following criteria:

  • Pay and benefits
  • Training and continuing professional development (CPD)
  • Innovation
  • Corporate culture/work-life balance/vision and values
  • Opportunities for promotion and career development
  • Diversity
  • Corporate social responsibility (CSR)

A percentage mark is awarded for each criterion, with an average of all of them providing a total percentage score. The judges then take these scores, together with in-depth profiles written on each company by our leading business journalists, to assess each company's suitability for Top IT Employer in the UK status.

Active in 8 countries, the CRF conducts scientific and objective research into best business practices in human resources, leadership and strategy. The organization works with leading business journalists, analysts, academics, industry experts and trade associations to compile a list of top employers in each country annually.
