Katy Winterborn 

Katy Winterborn is Director of Internal Security at NCC Group, with more than 15 years’ experience spanning offensive and defensive security. She began her career in UK government defending critical national infrastructure, and has spent nearly 11 years at NCC Group working across penetration testing, reverse engineering and exploit development.  

Katy has led technical teams, delivered specialist training, and authored whitepapers on topics from SOC maturity to insider threats. Today she leads NCC Group’s internal security function, overseeing enterprise resilience, compliance, incident response and executive level risk reporting. A confident public speaker, she has presented at industry events including CyberUK and is active in initiatives that promote diversity and pathways into cyber careers.
