In April 2026, Anza Technology engaged NCC Group’s Cryptography Services team to conduct a security assessment of a new implementation of BLS (Boneh-Lynn-Shacham) signatures over the BLS12-381 elliptic curve, following the draft specification draft-irtf-cfrgbls-signature. This has been engineered for use with the Solana Alpenglow consensus protocol, but is advertised as generic enough for usage with other projects and so has been considered during the engagement as a generic implementation.
