NCC Group Announced as Assured Service Provider by NCSC Cyber Incident Exercising (CIE) Scheme

14 March 2024

Building on our status as an approved UK NCSC Cyber Incident Response Level 1 and 2 provider, NCC Group has now been announced as an Assured Service Provider for NCSC Cyber Incident Exercising (CIE) scheme to provide high-quality live-play crisis scenarios.

The CIE scheme allows organisations to test the effectiveness of their incident response plans in a safe environment and strengthen their incident management processes, enabling organisations to enhance their resilience and reduce the risk of security breaches.

Given the risks and consequences of cyber attacks, every organisation should prioritise incident preparation and response planning, and while it is impossible to control the timing of an attack, impact can be limited through effective preparation and a detailed incident response plan.

Alejandro Rivas-Vasquez, Global Head of Digital Forensics and Incident Response, NCC Group, comments:

“As a trusted collaborator with both NCSC and CREST, we’re thrilled to receive recognition as an Assured Service Provider of the CIE scheme. This, in conjunction with our existing CREST accreditations, enhances our proactive incident response capabilities. As a proven and accredited Incident Response provider, we can assist organisations not only in the aftermath of a cyber attack, but also in rehearsing, evaluating and improving their cyber incident response management capabilities… a must do across all industry sectors”

Rowland Johnson, CREST President, comments:

"CREST is delighted to welcome NCC Group as an NCSC CIE Assured Service Provider. This, and NCC Group’s existing Level 1 and 2 Cyber Incident Response [CIR] status, reflects the company's ability to help support a wide range of UK businesses, charities, public sector, and government organisations to rehearse, evaluate and improve their cyber incident response plans.”
